Empower Through Business Language – English as a Second Language for Beginners Speakers

In this 16-hour course, students who are new to speaking and using the English language will learn essential day to day vocabulary, including pronunciation and grammar used in everyday conversations. Students will practice speaking English in a safe setting with a small group. We will also begin reading and writing words in the English language.

Who should attend?

This program is for those who are new to speaking the English language, and who would like to gain confidence in everyday conversation skills.

Class Format
In-person (on campus) at Cape Cod Community College’s Hyannis Center. Masks are required indoors and all students will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to participate in this course. Requests for reasonable accommodation, including requests for a medical or religious exemption, will be considered consistent with applicable laws, legal guidance, and College policy.

Student COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement
Starting January 2022 all students that plan on taking classes in-person on campus, or intend on using in-person support services on campus, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This vaccination required applies to students taking credit and noncredit course(s). If you plan on taking online classes, classes led by Zoom, or if you are an employer requesting off-site training exclusively, proof of vaccination will not be required.
